Big thanks and WELCOME to all the new followers that joined us over the past couple weeks. I can’t express how much your interest and curiosity means to us as I grow the Gays in the Life platform.
We had some family visiting this past week from Alaska and Florida, so forgive the lack of content. Sometimes you just need to disconnect and enjoy the moment. Here are some things you can look forward to on Gays in the Life in the coming days:
- More relationship and marriage discussion.
- Interviews and topic reviews with S (and other couples)!
- More vlog (video blog) content to highlight past, present, and upcoming topics.
Thanks again for all your support! Don’t forget to share Gays in the Life with friends and family, and to reach out on all social media @GaysintheLife. We look forward to getting to know all of you in the comments and the GITL inbox – firstname.lastname@example.org.
Let us know how we’re doing!
Thank goodness our Instagram account has been recovered.
We lost a few followers and people we were following, but that’s probably mostly due to those of you that sprung into action and reported the account as spam. THANK YOU to all of you who did that. I believe it helped the process. We still have our original Insta-handle AND all our pics are present. Please follow us and we’ll follow you back if we lost connection during this little security breach.
Big sigh of relief and many thanks,
I wanted to pop in and notify you all that @gaysinthelife on Instagram has been hacked. I’m currently in contact with Instagram/Facebook support, but their customer service is all email and FAQ based… not fun. I’m honestly more worried about keeping my original handle for the account. Regaining followers and getting the message out that I’ve been hacked won’t be an issue, but it’s still an annoying experience nonetheless.
Thank you to everyone who has reported the account. I realize you automatically unfollow and block an account when you report it for spam, but I’d rather not have Gays in the Life pushing nude women content to my readers. I’ll be sure to let you all know when I’ve got my account back and have full control again. For now, continue to keep track of posts via the blog and we’ll still share pics directly to our Facebook page and Twitter.
Thanks for the help and support! Those of you who know me probably know that I’m beyond annoyed and ALSO know that I hope the hacker gets hit by a bus… but I’m managing quite well… for now.
I’d like to take a moment to say WELCOME to Gays in the Life’s new followers. We’ve been much more engaged on social media and work-shopping ideas for the blog and it shows with a great increase in your support and daily interaction. For those of you just joining us, be sure to keep up with us on the following platforms:
I’d also like to take a moment to say THANK YOU to all of you that have been with us from the beginning – that’s now over two years ago – and THANK YOU to all of you new followers. I cannot express how appreciative I am of you all taking the time to read whatever mumbo-jumbo I’m serving up throughout the week.
Life has been an interesting ride and I know it’s not anywhere near over. In three days I’ll be celebrating my thirtieth birthday. The fact that I’ll be thirty on Saturday is wild in itself. When you’re younger, thirty seems so far away, but I fully plan on continuing to embrace adulthood and share S and I’s lessons along the way.
Please know that you are all loved and welcomed with open keystrokes. Continue to share the blog, Facebook page, and social media accounts with your family and friends. I strongly believe that we can build a better world by educating each other through shared experiences and conversation. My only goal with Gays in the Life is to do exactly that.
If there’s ever a time you have a question or want to learn more about a post I’ve written or information I’ve shared, let us know in the comments or on our social media! Getting to know our followers and readers will only benefit the relationship we have with you and can only enhance the content we have coming down the pipeline for you.
Here’s a bit of a bonus for you all. S and I the night of our first date back in September 2011:
We look a little different now 🙂
thank you, thanK YOU, THANK YOU. Be well,
Sorry for the lack of posts the last couple weeks. S and I are in the middle of having the entire bottom half of our condo remodeled, and things have been crazy busy. I just wanted to take a moment and say HAPPY HOLIDAYS to all of you, and thanks again for reading Gays in the Life.
Here’s a pic of our pup Reynold. He’s now 6 months old, and wants to wish you a happy holiday as well.
We will return after the new year, and hope you all have a very safe, and fun holiday 🙂
It’s been one year since I posted Sparks on Gays in the Life – my first post for the blog. Where did the time go?! I’m so happy with the progress I’ve made, amazed at the unexpected lessons I’ve learned through each post, and stunned that people actually still read this little project of mine.
So much has happened in the past year, and it’s been a welcomed creative challenge to keep the ideas fresh and flowing. I appreciate all of you so much, and thank you for your time and attention. Your presence as an audience keeps me motivated, and the result has been the production of forty-seven posts on Gays in the Life to date; there are fifty-two weeks in a year. I hope all of my readers have been able to apply every message that’s been downloaded into each entry, grown with me (and S), and have learned a little more about our everyday lives as a pair of husbands.
Some highlights within the past year include: Reaching a number of communities with GITL, learning more about myself and my husband (through planning each entry), hitting almost two-hundred views in one day, collaborating with fellow bloggers, our first marriage anniversary, NATIONAL MARRIAGE EQUALITY, substantial growth professionally, getting our puppy, and yes… FINALLY starting my book.
Most of me still wonders how I actually managed keep up with the blog, a fairly busy life, and a number of hopeful side projects I have stored in my head; why can’t I just pick one thing and stick with it? I’ve thoroughly enjoyed every brainstorming session, editing hour, and growing the project with each week. I wholeheartedly believe that none of this would be possible without any of you. If you’ve read one, or all, of my post(s)… thank you. If you’ve shared any entry with a friend or your followers… thank you. And if you’re currently reading this jumbled mess of thanks… THANK you.
Hello everyone! Sorry I’ve been in and out of the blog as of late. It’s only been a couple weeks since my last post, I think, but I fully intend to hop back on the wagon SOON! Excuses aren’t cute by any means, but the husband and I have been extremely busy.
Last week our home desktop computer decided that it wanted to crash, in the middle of my husband prepping for a final exam, just before we were to leave for Minneapolis to visit friends, and that left us with one laptop to share. We returned to Indianapolis on Monday, after having an absolute blast in Golden Gopher territory for four days, and are just now coming off that “vacation” feeling of laziness.
I would like to have a post up by this weekend, but I will make no promises. I plan to write a little about our time with our friends up in Minnesota, but S is still monopolizing the laptop. Education is important, and his final is tomorrow, so I won’t snatch the device away from him, lol.
So I apologize for the delay! But in the meantime, keep up with me on social media across these platforms:
Be looking for a post soon! Share past posts with your friends and family! And as always, I thank you for the love. Talk to you all soon.
